Auchrannie Resort

5th March, 2023. We left Caerlaverock at 9:25am after some hot cross buns for breakfast. We took the scenic route through new Galloway up to Ayr. As we had plenty of time, we found somewhere to stop on route. We had an early lunch of a cream tea that we bought at the farm shop yesterday. It was delicious and we would definitely recommend them!

After lunch, we continued on our journey, arriving at Ardrossan ferry terminal at about 1:30pm having stopped at Asdas for fuel.

The journey across to Arran was smooth and took about 55 minutes. We left the dogs in the motorhome and went to the cafe for a coffee.

On arrival at brodick, we drove straight to the resort. We were very impressed with the place. Went to the spa reception to book in and up to the restaurant to order our dinner to take away.

After feeding the dogs and taking them for a walk, I went to collect dinner. It was delicious! We had fish, chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce and lemon. The fish was locally sourced haddock cooked in a very light, not at all greasy, batter.

Today, we walked 9,761 steps.
