Saturday 4th March 2023 was the first day of our winter/spring visit to Scotland. We left home at 9:32am and headed to fill up with fuel. Left the fuel station at 9:53pm and we were on our way. Traffic was good on the whole journey, with no holdups.
We stopped at Mainsgill Farm Shop on the A66 to buy lunch. We didn't eat there as it was busy, so we drove further up the road and found a layby for lunch where we could walk the dogs.
We arrived at Caerlavarock at about 3:10pm. There were already two vans when we arrived and another three arrived after us. It was busy in the car park, being a Saturday afternoon, but it soon quietened down. We paid our £10 donation online before I went out to record a 'short' to put on YouTube.
Took the dogs for a short walk through the woods, as there were still too many people about in the nature reserve.
We put both wildlife cameras out to see if we would catch anything. All we caught was a little active mouse!
We walked about 5,000 steps today.
